Training – Universal Credit

Tuesday 10 October 2017

This half-day course provides an overview of Universal Credit. It will cover the following:

  • What is Universal Credit?
  • Who is eligible?
  • How to claim
  • How existing benefits will change
  • How Universal Credit will be calculated
  • How other benefits will be affected
  • Claimant’s commitment
  • Sanctions.

We do assume a basic knowledge of means tested benefits before attending this course. If you are interested we run the Introduction to Benefits Course, usually ahead of this course.

The course is delivered at our offices on Minster Street by one of our experienced trainers. As a trusted and established training service Citizens Advice Reading Training Services has been offering courses to a wide range of organisations for over 10 years, particularly to front line workers and their managers.

Cost per delegate: £50 (charities), £60 (statutory), £90 (commercial), with discounts for multiple bookings. Fees cover training, support materials and tea and coffee.

We also offer tailored and in-house courses for organisations if you would like a group to be trained either at your premises or at ours. Do contact us for further details. This course is part of our autumn offer – please ask for more details.
