Training – Introduction to Universal Credit

Tuesday 27 February 2018

As a trusted and established training service, Citizens Advice Reading Training Services has been offering courses to a wide range of organisations for over 10 years – particularly to front line workers and their managers. This course provides an overview of universal credit. It will cover the following:

• What is universal credit?
• Who is eligible?
• How to claim.
• How existing benefits will change.
• How universal credit will be calculated.
• How other benefits will be affected.
• Claimant’s commitment.
• Sanctions.

The course runs from 10 am-1 pm and is delivered at our offices on Minster Street by one of our experienced trainers.

The course fee is: £50 per delegate (charity)/£60 (statutory)/£90 (commercial). Discounts are available for multiple bookings. All fees cover training, support materials and tea and coffee.

We also offer tailored/in-house courses for organisations. If you would like a group to be trained either at your premises or at ours, do contact us for further details.
