The Art of Trees – major exhibition and events, 14 to 24 June

The Art of Trees brings to Reading a major exhibition of British artists, feted by the national press, with guest artists from Reading, whose subject is trees. There is wide diversity in colours, sizes, style, themes, philosophy and vision making it a stunning show. Paintings are for sale. The show is open daily and there will be three special events:

  • Tuesday 18 June, 2pm start at The Turbine House or wait at the Forbury Entrance to the Abbey at 2.10pm. Dr Carolyn Jenkins, Parks Development Manager for Reading, leads a guided walk round The Forbury Gardens’ magnificent tree specimens.
  • Wednesday 19 June, 2.30pm Tim Craven, curator of the show and artist of note talks about his life as an artist and takes us round the show.
  • Sunday 23 June, 2.30pm. A dream team of poets from Two Rivers Press recites poetry related to trees.
