PACT’s Marathon in May

Tuesday 1 May 2018

Marathon in May is PACT’s exciting new charity challenge that aims to help individuals and families get active while raising money for a great cause!

The idea is very simple, you just need to cover the distance of a marathon – 26.2 miles – during the month of May.

It’s completely up to you how you do it, either by running, walking, cycling or swimming, and you can cover the distance either individually or together as a family or group of colleagues or friends.

Why not walk or jog a mile a day for 26 days? Or you could go out for a longer walk, run or family bike ride of 6.5 miles every weekend in May? Families can also choose to complete the 26.2 miles together making it an ideal challenge for all ages and abilities.

To take part costs £12 per adult, which includes a medal and a colour-in chart to track your progress. When you sign up you can also order extra medals, at a cost of £2.50 each, for any children taking part.

Once you have completed your Marathon in May we’ll send out your medal and certificate.

All the proceeds raised from the registration fees will be used to support PACT’s work building and strengthening families.

People taking part can also choose to further support PACT’s work by getting sponsored to complete the Marathon in May. If you choose to raise additional sponsorship for your Marathon in May, every penny will go directly towards PACT’s work supporting adoptive families, vulnerable women and families affected by domestic abuse.
