Welcome to an online wellbeing and cultural identity workshop facilitated by a writer, together with a trained counsellor, with the aim of uniting people. As the world goes through very unprecedented and challenging times, we want you to know that you are not alone and that you matter. Your voice matters. Your background is important.
In a respectful, non-threatening, secure and welcoming online environment, we will explore oral literature from different heritages. This may include poems, folk tales, creation tales, myths, songs, legends, proverbs, riddles, tongue twisters, recitations, word games, life histories, or historical narratives. Anything that you remember from your background or culture.
Everyone is very welcome and appreciated – to teach, grow, learn from each other, and use your own background and words to come together and educate the world, whilst dealing with various wellbeing issues that directly affect us, with support of a counsellor.
