At the Dialogue Society we would like to invite you to our Iftar Dinner Event in the Holy Month of Ramadan to share our food and feelings.
Ramadan is a month when the relationships within and outside the community are strengthened by fasting and breaking the fast. To reinforce the friendship and dialogue between diverse communities, we gather in intercultural dinners during Ramadan with people from all walks of life, varied communities and faith groups, to emphasise values such as mutual understanding, deep respect, love, and peace.
The dinner will take place with The Mayor of Reading as guest of honour, on Friday 9 June, starting at 8:30pm.
The evening will begin with a short welcome speech followed by a presentation by the partner organisations The Dialogue Society and The Fellowship Educational Society and then speeches by our guest speakers. When it is time to break the fast, guests will listen to the Adhan (call to prayer), and Turkish homemade meals will be served as Iftar dinner.
Due to limited space please reply to email@example.com by 31 May. We hope you can join us.
