In light of increasing ethnic and religious diversity, there is a need for diversity-ready cemeteries, crematoria and remembrance sites in England and Wales.
The AHRC-ESRC Deathscapes & Diversity research project has investigated the politics and practices of migrant and minority cemetery and crematoria provision, working with local providers and communities.
On Wednesday 13 June, we will launch a policy-briefing report for stakeholders, including usergroups, local and national government and other service providers.
During the day, we will host talks, workshops and photographic displays exploring practices and provisions around migrant and minority cemetery and crematorium needs.
The event will take place at the Meadow Suite, University of Reading, 11am to 4pm. It is by invitation only, but there are a few spaces remaining. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org by 1 June if you would like to attend.
