Windrush Compensation Scheme – meeting on 13 November 2018

Primary interest
Government and Politics

Are you part of the ‘Windrush generation’, or a long-term Commonwealth citizen in the UK, and have faced issues establishing your status? The Home Office are working to put in place a compensation scheme for those who have suffered loss through no fault of their own. They are currently consulting on how the scheme should work.

Talk directly to government policy makers on 13 November 2018

The Caribbean Associations Group (CAG) want the Reading diaspora to give their views on how losses should be compensated and how the scheme should work for individual claims. The CAG Reading, in association with the Home Office, have arranged a meeting at 6 pm on Tuesday 13 November 2018, at The Globe, 12 Portman Road, Reading RG30 1EA.

This is your only chance to speak directly to the government policy makers about our issues. So, if you settled in the UK before 1988 and have concerns, the Windrush Taskforce will be there to help you.

Complete the consultation online

You also have until 5pm on 16 November 2018 to complete the consultation online.
