Volunteers’ Week 2016 is just around the corner. This year a whole extra week is being given over to celebrating the contributions that our volunteers make.
Reading Voluntary Action will be out and about spreading the word and encouraging more people to get involved in volunteering locally. There are also plans afoot for a special radio show on Blast1386, the launching of a new scheme to encourage people to get involved in one-off volunteering and a focused campaign via our website and social media channels to build on the extra promotion around volunteering at the national level…. More details to follow.
We would love to know what your plans are and if we can give you a hand to promote the good work your volunteers are doing. You can submit news items to us ahead of time for inclusion in our campaign, simply complete the form found HERE. Need a helping hand putting something together? Get in touch with our Community Journalism Team (firstname.lastname@example.org) now who, capacity allowing, would be happy to work on an article with you.
Got an event planned? Our journalism team would love to come along and cover your celebrations to share with our audience.
