Social Impact Bond to improve outcomes for young people in Reading

Reading Borough Council, along with its strategic partners, has submitted a bid to the Government’s Life Chances Fund to support a Social Impact Bond. The outcomes of the SIB are related to improving participation in education, employment and training outcomes for Reading’s most vulnerable young people aged 11 to 19 (and up to 25 for SEND).

Information event

RBC will be holding an initial information event for voluntary and community sector organisations on Tuesday 10 July, from 10am to 11.30am, in The Waterhouse Chamber, Reading Town Hall.

As well as updating organisations on the key aims and outcomes, RBC will communicate the commissioning process for the project in line with below:

Stage 1: Information event for VCS providers.

Stage 2: Call for EOI from a ‘lead partner’, on behalf of a partnership.

Stage 3: Prospective partnerships to attend a networking event with prospective investors.

Stage 4: Call for a joint bid/s from partners and investor.
