This year we are opening up the RVA Volunteering Conference to volunteers themselves as well as coordinators, managers and recruiters. This approach fits with a range of projects we are getting involved with, plus the work of the local Volunteer Coordinators’ Network (VCN) which we facilitate here at RVA.

The aim is to provide a menu of themed elements which can be of use to the whole workforce, whether as part of core delivery or to ensure we are prepared for the unexpected when it happens.

Workshop topics will include:

  • Working with the families of offenders
  • Supporting victims of crime
  • Recruiting for long-term volunteers
  • Utilising young people volunteers

Keynote presentations will come from partners within the voluntary sector as well as statutory partners.

Organisations who attend the conference will get a chance to be first to sign up for a stall at our Meet the Charities Volunteering Fair in January 2015
