The next meeting of Reading’s Health and Wellbeing Board is on Friday 24 March, starting at 2pm in the Council Chamber.

As always, the Board has a very full agenda, with a number of items which would interest voluntary sector providers, including:

  • Berkshire Suicide Prevention Strategy 2017 – 2020
Reducing the number of deaths by suicide is one of 8 priorities for the Board. At the next Wellbeing Forum for the Voluntary Sector, on 4th April, we will look at how we can coordinate actions across agencies to build mental resilience in our communities and reduce the very stark numbers locally.
  • Meeting the needs of vulnerable people in Reading – findings of the round-table discussion of voluntary sector providers convened by Healthwatch Reading
  • CAMHS Transformation Plan – implementing Future in Mind across Berkshire West CCGs and Reading Borough Council.
