We are currently planning the next Reading Town Meal, to be held on Saturday 3rd October 2015 and are seeking stall holders.

The event is the biggest “picnic in the park” that Reading has ever seen and will return to Forbury Gardens on Saturday 3 October 2015 and the local community is invited to get involved in this celebration of local sustainable food.

A delicious meal, cooked by Reading College catering students from produce grown and donated by local allotment holders and home growers will be served free to over 1,000 people.

Forbury Gardens will be filled with fun activities, workshops and local food producers. Community groups will set out their stalls and music from local bands will keep the tempo going all afternoon.

We are seeking stall holders that have a focus on local food, growing, sustainability and community. There are three stall areas including: children’s / family activities, community stalls and traders. As well as established traders, we welcome one-off and cottage industry food stalls. While we must ensure you meet minimum requirements, we will try to work with you to ensure you can participate. Please get in touch if you are interested in having a stall but aren’t sure whether you qualify. There will be a £10 charge for traders and a £10 refundable deposit payable for not-for-profit groups. Once you have filled out this form, we will get back in touch with more information.
