Applications to be the Reading Buses Charity of the Year 2019 are open until Friday 9 November 2018
Reading Buses are inviting local charities, and national charities who work with local people, to apply to become their Charity of the Year 2019. For 2019, they are looking to work with a charity that supports people affected by life affecting and/or life limiting conditions. They would particularly like to hear from charities, including hospices, that work with young adults. More information about how to apply can be found here.
This year, Reading Buses have been working with Autism Berkshire, and previous charities of the year have included Read Balloon Learner Centres, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), Alzheimer’s Society, Launchpad, Parents and Children Together, and Duchess of Kent House.
The Reading Buses annual open day every summer is aid of their Charity of the Year, and they aim to raise over £10,000. Being the Charity of the Year also offers opportunities to raise awareness of your work across the Reading Buses network.
See the Reading Buses website for more information and application guidance. The deadline is Friday 9 November.
