With over 10,000 people doing their Scouting in Berkshire, the passion and enthusiasm to make and create change is huge! As is the potential…this project aims to find charities across Berkshire that Scouts can work with to have a positive impact on their communities.

No funding or resource is necessary, just contact details and a willingness to work with young people between the ages of 6 and 25. There is no requirement to sign up a set number of young people to a project, and no time limit as involvement depends on which issues or charities the young people decide to take action on (this does mean that we cannot ensure how many young people, if any, will take part each month).

The Scouts themselves will be coming up with project ideas and running these – what we ask from you is a willingness to support these events or projects, either in person or digitally (such as with charity stall at a community event, a speaker on a section night, or email advice). However, if you have any long-term sustainable, ongoing projects please let us know and we can advertise these to our Scouts too!

What we can offer you in return is access to a huge base of passion and enthusiasm to take action on the issue your charity works upon as well as media exposure – each charity that fits the criteria and works with us will be included in a PDF document, professionally created by a design studio, available in the public domain.

If this sounds of interest to your charity please email jack.abrey@berkshirescouts.org.uk for a follow-up conversation.
