Our Reading, our future: research into young people’s experience of growing up in Reading

Primary interest
Voluntary sector

Reading Voluntary Action’s Social Action Leaders are carrying out a questionnaire in December 2019 and January 2020 to find out what it is like to grow up in Reading.

The aims of the research are to:
  • Strengthen the voice and participation of young people in social action.
  • Develop a youth campaign informed by greater understanding of concerns and vision for the future.
  • Help shape future services and planning.
  • Increase partnership working across sectors.

The Social Action Youth Leaders will be supported by the University of Reading at all stages of the research and will be asking other young people for their views in a range of different areas from the practical to the aspiration.
