Reading University Students’ Union is taking part in National Student Volunteering Week (20 – 26 February), and is on the hunt for community-based volunteering projects or services where a group of keen volunteers could make a real impact.
National Student Volunteering Week aims to offer students a wide range of different volunteering projects and services in their local area, giving them the opportunity to see the benefits and rewards of giving up a few hours each week to help the local community.
Perhaps you have a community hall that needs a repaint, or a playground or grass area that needs a spruce up? Or do you know a group of isolated individuals who would benefit from a chance to meet up over a cup of tea and some homemade cake?
We’d love our students to help make a difference. If you run a project or service that could use our help, please contact our Volunteering Coordinator, Hannah Geddes, on 0118 378 4156 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
