February 21 2018 will see a big event at Reading Town Hall, exploring ways to alleviate loneliness and social isolation in our communities. The focus of the conference will be on taking action to create change at both a personal and organisational level. Workshop themes will include ‘it’s everyone’s business’, ‘loneliness as a public health threat’, and ‘transience and connectedness’. Speakers and the full programme will be confirmed in the coming weeks, but registration is now open.
The first half of the conference, from 3pm to 5pm, will be for organisations across all sectors. If you are representing an organisation and would like to attend the whole event (or the afternoon only) please register here for attendance from 3pm.
The second half, from 5pm-8pm, will be aimed at members of the public entering into the conversation alongside local organisations. Please do publicise this as widely as possible using the poster below and encourage people to sign up for attendence from 5pm.
