The Heritage Lottery Fund’s Young Roots programme is designed for organisations that want to involve and work with young people aged 11 to 25, to encourage them to develop their own views about the culturally varied Heritage of the UK. Funding of £10,000 to £50,000 is available for projects lasting up to two years.
Who can apply?
Registered charities and trusts, community, voluntary and youth groups, community/Parish councils, Community Interest Companies, local authorities, public sector organisations such as museums and social enterprises are all eligible to apply for projects where young people have been engaged in the process and will be involved in the activity.
Applications open until 18 January 2019
There are no application deadlines for this programme – apply anytime. (Your application will be discussed at a monthly advisory meeting at your local Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) office. Following this meeting, a decision on your application will be made by the Head of your local HLF office.)
However, HLF will be launching their new Funding Framework early in 2019 and will therefore not be accepting applications under this programme after 18 January 2019.
