The sun was shining last Friday (28/10/2016) as Reading Voluntary Action along with a host of organisations took to Broad Street to promote the work volunteers do for our town and encourage others to get involved.

With 18 local organisations represented on the day a diverse range of volunteering opportunities were on offer, from trustee positions to befrienders and a whole lot in between.

As well as volunteering opportunities there was a whole lot of family fun to be had, with tile painting provided by RG Spaces and face painting from Cathy Brabben (www.facepainting4all.co.uk)

Take a look below to see some more great snaps of the day captured by volunteer Rhiannon Stocking-Williams.

Our thanks go to all those involved for making this a fantastic event and a real showcase for the amazing work being done by not-for-profit organisations in our town.

If you missed the event don’t despair, you can find out about opportunities to make a difference all year round through our www.rgneeds.me volunteer matching service!
