Elevate Reading

Elevate Reading is an exciting new project that brings together partners from private, public and third sector agencies to support young people aged 16-24 into employment or training.

As part of the project we have recently launched “Elevate Me”, a website created in partnership with O2, that aims to be the on-line destination for young people looking for advice and support regarding jobs, training and volunteering.

The website is based on the Reading townscape, using local iconic buildings, each covering a specific subject. Young people can “enter” these to find out more about how to write the perfect CV, where to get support with job seeking or how to start their own business.

Many agencies are now using the site as a tool to engage with young people locally, to support their future options and promote opportunities available to them.
We’re encouraging anyone working with young people to use the site and support them to visit, register and create their own content on the site Elevate Me.
