Who would you go to in your organisation if you had a safeguarding concern and would that person have up-to-date information on how to best handle that concern?
Safeguarding concerns may come from services users, volunteers or staff. It is the role of the appointed Designated Safeguarding Officer to consider these internal concerns and to decide how best to respond, internally and externally by possibly making referrals to social care services.
There are spaces available on the Designated Safeguarding Officer training on 18 June 2019. Some organisations may find that this role is best shared between two people.
