Cultural Commissioning 2020 – open from September 2019

RBC Cultural Commissioning team have some funding coming up for work with older people experiencing, or at risk of, loneliness and social isolation. It is part of the cultural commissioning programme currently run under the Reading, Place of Culture project, and it will go live in early September.

They are looking for projects that will deliver high quality arts, cultural or heritage provision for older people in Reading. Projects must have robust partnerships between creative organisations and service providers for older people, such as voluntary sector organisations, health organisations, hospitals, care homes or community services.

For example, a recent  project funded by the programme saw a partnership between the Museum of English Rural Life and the Royal Berkshire Hospital, to provide services for older people through gardening, dance and reminiscence work.

£20k is available, with co-funding from Berkshire Community Foundation, for projects to run from January to December 2020. The application process will go live in early September, so please register with the RBC tendering portal, InTend, to express interest and get the latest information.
