Contemporary Brazilian music film season and course

Reading Film Theatre is delighted to announce the Contemporary Brazilian Music Film Season, to take place at the Reading Film Theatre over a period of 10 weeks from 17 January to 23 March 2018.

The Season will be held in combination with the course ‘Brazilian Music and Film’, focusing on the ways in which these two media combine and cross-pollinate. The season and course emerge from research undertaken as part of the AHRC-FAPESP funded research project ‘Towards an Intermedial History of Brazilian Cinema: Exploring Intermediality as a Historiographic Method’ (IntermIdia).

Date: Every Wednesday, from 17 January to 2 March (10 sessions)
Time: 6 pm – 7:15 pm (course), 7:45 pm – 10 pm (screening)
Venue: Palmer Building, Whiteknights Campus, University of Reading, Reading RG6 2AH

Tickets and course registration

RFT members, children 14 and under, seniors, students and unwaged (with proof of status): £4 in advance, £5 on the door.
General admissions: £5 in advance, £6 on the door.
Season Ticket: £30 (screenings only)
Tickets can be bought in advance (NB a 50p booking fee applies to all internet sales).

Course Registration: £45 (includes free entrance to all season screenings and a catalogue).
