Concessionary fares for Access pass holders – consultation open until 20 July 2018

Reading Borough Council has opened a consultation on proposed changes to the concessionary fares scheme for Access pass holders.

The proposed changes would affect disabled people who hold Access passes and would mean that the council:

  • no longer provides free travel within Reading before 9.30am or after 11.00pm on a weekday
  • no longer issues or accepts companion bus passes for people who are unable to travel alone
  • no longer provides free travel on ReadiBus dial-a-ride services.

Residents have until 20 July 2018 to complete the survey.
