Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) plans to develop a Strategy for the Voluntary and Community Sector across Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham.

The strategy will be co-produced with the voluntary and community sector, and, at this stage will cover relationships with BWCCG only.  Once the Berkshire West Integrated Care System (ICS) is embedded, this may be reviewed. The new ICS includes the Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Trust and Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust and the strategy could be extended to include these in the future.

The three local infrastructure organisations across Berkshire West, Reading Voluntary Action, Involve Wokingham and West Berkshire Volunteer Centre, will host Listening Events in each locality during June.  Voluntary and community organisations will have the opportunity to  discuss what needs to happen to achieve effective partnership between the sector and BWCCG.

The aim is for the strategy to be signed off by BWCCG Governing Body in early 2019 and implemented from April 2019.

We hope that the Reading Listening Event will take place during the week beginning 18 June.  Once the venue has been confirmed, we will promote it through the RVA bulletin.
