Black Lives Matter – statement of solidarity from Reading Voluntary Action

Reading Voluntary Action confirms its solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

Reading has a proud history of social action by Black and Minority Ethnic people and organisations. Reading Voluntary Action pledges its continued practical and moral support for groups and organisations, led by and for the Black and Minority Ethnic communities in Reading.

We support the statements below from Alliance for Cohesion and Racial Equality (ACRE), Reading Refugee Support Group, Reading City of Sanctuary and the Muslim Communities of Greater Reading and share their commitments.

Our trustees and staff commit to taking every opportunity to listening, learning and developing ourselves and RVA as an organisation committed to stopping racism.
