BFI Film Academy Courses

Do you know of any young people aged 16-19 that are interested in film, art, acting, photography, music, business, sound tech, writing etc? If so, the BFI Film Academy course for 16-19 year olds is taking place at Pinewood and Shepperton Studios in October 2018 and January-February 2019.

What is the BFI Film Academy?

The BFI Film Academy course covers every area of the film-making process, enabling young people aged 16-19 to gain an NCFE qualification in Working in the Film Industry. They also have the opportunity to develop their commercial and cultural knowledge, and the skills needed to help make a career in film a reality. After completing the course, young people will have the chance to gain support and progress onto a range of ongoing film-making opportunities.

The course is run at Pinewood and Shepperton Studios and there is a nominal charge of £25 – however, full bursaries (free places) and travel support are available to those that meet the eligibility criteria.
