BCF – new funding rounds and 1:1 surgeries

Does your voluntary or community group need funding for a specific project? Are you a small-medium sized charity or community group in Reading looking for funding for either a specific project or for core costs?

In readiness for the upcoming rounds of funding, RVA is partnering with Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) to offer 1:1 sessions (20 minute slots) to Reading voluntary and community groups on Thursday 5 September 2019 at the RVA offices, Third Floor, Reading Central Library.

At your 1:1 you will have the have the opportunity to canvas your idea for funding with Elisha Russell, the BCF Community Liaison Officer. Please note that Elisha cannot help you fill in the application form, but will give you general guidance and tips on applying for funding with BCF.

The upcoming BCF grants
Vital for Berkshire – safe homes, good health, secure employment

This fund is for groups working with people who are struggling to cope with a range of issues preventing them from having a safe home, good health and secure employment.

  • You can apply for core costs under this funding stream.
  • Grants available up to £10,000.
  • Fund open for applications: 19 August 2019.
  • Closing date: 25 September 2019.
  • To be presented to Panel: November 2019.
BCF Funds for the Elderly

For groups working with the elderly to improve health and well-being, improve access to facilities, advice and training, and to overcome problems such as illness, injury, disability, bereavement or financial difficulty.

  • Grants are available of up to £5,000.
  • Fund open for applications: 19 August 2019.
  • Closing date: 25 September 2019.
  • To be presented to Panel: November 2019.
