The BBC Loneliness Experiment wants to learn about your experiences and attitudes towards friendship and community, and to get a really good picture of what you believe causes loneliness, what stops you feeling lonely, and what friends and communities can do to help.

Anyone over the age of 16 years can take part, and it does not matter whether or not you currently feel lonely. This experiment has been developed by researchers at the University of Manchester, Brunel University, and the University of Exeter; it is funded by the Wellcome Trust.

The survey closes at midnight on Thursday 12 April.
