This Autumn PSC is offering a comprehensive 8 part training programme for volunteers and can include volunteers from external organisations as well as its own.
The programme will include sessions around:
- Listening skills
- Bereavement & loss
- Boundaries and Confidentiality
- Lone working & personal safety
- Supporting families by phone & email
The course runs from 2 October – 4 December at the organisation’s Reading base in Glebe Road, RG2 7AG
Cost: £325 per person or £500 for two volunteers

Parenting Special Children has achieved ‘Approved Provider Status’ from the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation for the quality and management of the training courses it has developed as part of its Diagnosis Support Service.
The Approved Provider Standard (APS) is the national quality standard designed specifically for all types of mentoring and befriending projects. Projects which meet the requirements of the standard are accredited for three years.
