Adult Wellbeing Position Statement 2016-17 – Consultation

Social care

Reading Borough Council is consulting on a draft Adult Wellbeing Position Statement.

The Care Act gives the Council new responsibilities towards those who may need care or support, and the Adult Wellbeing Position Statement describes how they will fulfil these new responsibilities. Individual wellbeing is affected by a range of factors, and this statement recognises the impact of the places where we live, work and play as well as our health and social care provision.

Reading’s first Adult Wellbeing Position Statement provides a framework for developing the Council’s services to meet their Care Act obligations and so prevent, reduce and delay care and support needs across the local population.

The consultation runs until 18th March 2016.
