Volunteer Walk Leaders Required to lead a regular walk every Wednesday morning in Palmer Park.

The successful applicants will receive free Walking for Health Volunteer Walk Leader Training in order to join a team of walk leaders that conduct a Family Walk to and from the Chalkboard Café in Palmer Park every Wednesday at 11.00 am

This walk is a gentle walk that includes a wide range of walkers including:

  • Mothers or nannies with their buggies and children
  • disabled people with wheelchairs or mobility scooters, carers
  • people recovering from operations or illness that affect their mobility

anyone who wishes to join an organised walk where they feel safe and supported with the added benefit of companionship as they walk along.Walk leaders wear hi-vis jackets and have to do a small amount of administration such as taking registers and giving out notices at the start of each walk.

Walks are approximately 45 minutes long.
