The annual East Reading Festival is a celebration of the diversity of the local community and aims to strengthen the connections between the people and organisations of East Reading and beyond. It returns to Palmer Park on Sunday 19th June between 12noon and 6pm.
Following on from last year, the festival is growing again. With over 50 stalls, 4 performance stages, an activity area organised by the Churches Together in Earley and East Reading (CTEER) and the usual bouncy castles and funfair, all with free entry, the festival organisers are expecting to welcome well over 5,000 visitors during the day.
The sort of people that we’re looking for are:
- event management
- green room supervisor
- green room attendant
- logistical supervisor
- performance stage manager
- information desk supervisor
- information desk attendant
- general assistants
We have no requirement for any particular skills or qualifications (these are welcome though!), just people who are friendly and enthusiastic.
We’re not limited to the listed roles, so if you have skills or experience that you think would help, we’d love to hear from you! Or, if you’d like to get involved but you’re not sure with what, or just find out more about the festival, get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss.
We’ll need volunteers on the day itself, Sunday 19th June, in Palmer Park Stadium from 8am to 8pm and on Saturday 18th June from 2pm onwards. Don’t worry if you can only help for part of a day, we’d still welcome the help!
