Join the crew and help people with disabilities enjoy a week-long canal boat holiday – dates in mid April, end May and start July 2017
Support volunteers needed for Gloucestershire Disabled Afloat Riverboats Trust in SN8
DART organise and run an annual programme of canal boat holidays for people with disabilities. We are seeking volunteers to join the crew for these week long trips.
The crew person is a member of a crew of three who work as a team to ensure that passengers enjoy their holiday while keeping them safe. The prime responsibilities of the crew person are to assist the skipper in running the boat and to keep the interior of the boat clean.
You will also need to help in any other odd jobs that may be needed to ensure the smooth running of the trip.
Previous experience of canal boating and/or helping people with disabilities is desirable but is not required.
