On Saturday 22nd July at 11am, Whitley’s annual community arts festival will begin.
Between 11am and 3pm, local residents can enjoy a free family event filled with music, performances, community stalls, various art workshops and displays and treat themselves to snacks.
The event is being held in the undercover outside courtyard at John Madejski Academy, with support from staff and site management.
To help this event run smoothly we are looking for approx 8 volunteer stewards.
Stewards will help to direct visitors, be a point of contact, support security and safety procedures, help any stall holders or contributors if needed.
This a fun community event, so volunteers who like to communicate and be sociable, enjoy interaction and can deal with face to face enquiries or questions would be most welcome!
Volunteers who might need additional support are welcome to express interest. If you have good public communication skills and feel happy dealing with the public in an authoritative and friendly manner then you’d be most welcome and we’d happily discuss accommodating your particular support needs.
Help us to make a difference to peoples lives through creativity, art and community.
