Help us create vibrant images to capture the work of local groups

Design / Creative volunteer needed for Reading Voluntary Action (RVA)

Reading Voluntary Action works to ensure that everyone in Reading can access volunteering opportunities and get involved in community action. From outreach work to online advice and information, we are involved in a huge range of activities.

We are looking for a creative photographer to help us capture the diversity of this work, and the people and organisations we support. This opportunity would suit an experienced photographer with some time to give, or a photographer looking to develop and expand their portfolio. We would also be keen to hear from anybody with experience with video recording.

We are looking for someone who could attend some events – like forums, fairs, training or meetings – and document the volunteers, voluntary sector staff and beneficiaries involved in a lively and engaging way. Alternatively, or in addition, you could arrange photo shoots to capture images which tell the story of our projects and services. As well as processing and storing the high-quality digital photographs taken, this role would also involve ensuring that photo release forms are signed and stored.

We constantly need fresh and vibrant images to use on our website, social media, brochures and leaflets, external publications and in presentations. An exciting and representative photo library will help RVA to support and promote the voluntary sector as well as giving you interesting opportunities to photograph the Reading residents who work to create sustainable change in the town and improve the lives of local people.

Candidates for this role will need to be able to provide their own equipment.
